The firm

Three lawyers, one kind of work

We split the work by the kind of family, not by seniority, so the lawyer who answers your first call is the one who stays.

  • Giselle Ashcombe, a smiling woman with curly gray-streaked hair and red lipstick in a leopard-print jacket

    Giselle Ashcombe

    Founding partner, adoption

Giselle founded the firm to do one kind of work well. She handles agency and independent adoptions, stepparent and relative adoptions, and the interstate paperwork that goes with them.

  • Deepa Vasilakis, a smiling woman with long dark wavy hair and hoop earrings in a black top

    Deepa Vasilakis

    Partner, surrogacy and donation

Deepa writes and negotiates gestational carrier agreements and donor agreements, for intended parents and, in separate matters, for carriers.

  • Zora Fontaine, a smiling woman with curly dark hair in a gray tweed blazer over a black beaded top

    Zora Fontaine

    Partner, parentage and hearings

Zora prepares parentage judgments and confirmatory adoptions, and is the lawyer most families meet in the courtroom.
